A meeting time, not a pickup time
Tell the group to be in the lobby fifteen minutes before the vehicle arrives. The pickup time is when you leave, not when people start coming down.
A private Staria from your hotel in Madinah to your hotel in Makkah, organised around checkout, the group's luggage and an arrival in the busiest part of Makkah.

Yes. A Hyundai Staria with a private driver can collect your group from your Madinah hotel and drive to Makkah, roughly 450 km and about four and a half to five hours, plus any stops you request.
At the agreed point near your Madinah hotel.
The group's luggage goes in the back in one go.
The long road south towards Makkah.
If you requested one, for example at the miqat or for a break.
Drop-off at the practical point for your hotel.
The hardest part of this journey is often the first half hour. Checkout queues, a last visit to the mosque, one person still packing, and a vehicle that cannot wait long on a busy street near the Prophet's Mosque: it adds up quickly.
Three things help. Bring every bag to the lobby before anyone goes out. Agree a single meeting point and time with the whole group. And give us the real time you will be ready, not the hopeful one, so the pickup is planned for when you will actually be there.
If the group is split between two hotels, tell us. One vehicle can usually collect from two nearby hotels, but it has to be planned.
You reach Makkah after a long road, and the final kilometres near the Masjid al-Haram are the busiest. Vehicle access close to the mosque is controlled and can change, so the Staria may stop a short walk from your hotel entrance.
Sending the hotel name in advance lets us confirm the drop-off point before the day. It also helps to tell the hotel your expected arrival time, so that someone can help with the luggage when you arrive.
If your group is planning Umrah soon after arrival, mention it. It changes nothing about the road, but it helps us plan a drop-off that suits the rest of your day.
For many families the drive from Madinah to Makkah is the longest single journey of the trip. It comes after several days of prayer and visits, with bags that have grown, and it ends in the busiest part of Makkah.
A Staria lets the group travel together for those five hours, with a seat each and the luggage behind. It is a practical choice rather than a luxury one, and it is most useful when the group is five or more or the luggage is heavy.

Tell the group to be in the lobby fifteen minutes before the vehicle arrives. The pickup time is when you leave, not when people start coming down.
Large groups often have identical suitcases. A coloured tag on each makes the arrival in Makkah much quicker.
Agree seats before boarding: older passengers near the door, children next to a parent.
Decide before you leave whether the group goes to the hotel first or straight to the Haram.
Dhul Hulayfah, known locally as Abyar Ali, sits on the edge of Madinah, so a stop there comes early in the journey rather than half way. If your group wants to stop, prepare before you leave the hotel: keep what you need for the stop in the cabin and agree how long you will need.
We do not advise on what to do at the miqat; please follow your scholar or tour operator. Our part is to plan the time and the vehicle, so that the stop is relaxed rather than rushed.
Yes, if requested when you book. We allow time for the stop. For guidance on what to do there, please ask your scholar or tour operator.
Often yes, if they are close to each other. Tell us both hotels and the group in each when you book.
As early as your plans allow, especially in busy seasons, so we can confirm the vehicle for your date.
Message us as soon as you know. It is easier to move a pickup the evening before than on the morning itself.
Four and a half to five hours of road, plus any stops and the time it takes to leave the hotel area. Many groups plan for six hours in total.
We can plan the nearest practical drop-off point. Vehicle access close to the mosque is controlled and can change, so we agree it with you in advance.
Message us as soon as you can. We will try to move the pickup if the group needs more time.
Yes. Early departures after Fajr are popular because the roads are quieter and the day is cooler. Bring the luggage down the night before, give us the time you will be ready after the prayer, and we will plan the pickup for then.
Book as soon as your dates are fixed, and earlier still in Ramadan and the Hajj season, when larger vehicles are in demand. We confirm the vehicle for your date, so you know before you travel whether it is a Staria.
Send both hotel names, the date, your departure time, the group and the bags, and tell us about any stop. We confirm the Staria and the price.
Many families travel from Madinah to Makkah, stay a few days, and then fly home from Jeddah. If that is your plan, book the Makkah to Jeddah Airport leg at the same time and give us your flight details. We will plan the pickup time back from the flight, with room for checkout and traffic.
You can keep the Staria for that last leg too. The luggage on the way home is usually the heaviest of the whole trip, which is exactly when a minivan is most useful.
If your plans are not fixed yet, book this leg now and add the airport transfer later; there is no need to decide everything at once.
For the drive itself, keep a small bag in the cabin with water, dates or snacks, medicines, phone chargers and the Makkah hotel's details. The luggage area is at the back, and stopping on the highway to search through suitcases wastes time for everyone.
Children travel better with something to do and a planned break to look forward to. If your group includes very young children, tell us their ages; we will tell you what we can arrange for child seats and suggest a stop that suits them.
Distances and journey times are approximate and can vary with traffic, time of day, exact pickup and drop-off locations and travel conditions.
